Following on the release of their latest single, the alt-punk, horn-laden track ‘Drain’, Muules have delivered their accompanying film clip.

With ‘Drain’s running theme of self-doubt and trying to express your thoughts and feelings in a relationship that has dulled, the music video expresses being physically ‘drained’ by having the band all as silhouettes, and giving an overall cartoon-ish vibe to express the ridiculousness of the situations we find ourselves in.

Multi-state punks, Wishful Thinking have done the brave and unexpected by releasing a brand new track, a six minute epic in ‘Destiny Pt. 1’ - a song that came about as a response to the band’s own struggles with anxiety and depression.

Released to coincide with R U OK? Day, ‘Destiny Pt. 1’ whether intentionally or not, borrows heavily from the legendary ‘American Idiot’ album by Green Day, with its form of storytelling, and pop elements blended into punk riffing and anthemic choral sections, interspersed news grabs, and multiple hooks.

Tickets for the OFFBEAT MUSIC FESTIVAL in Eumundi will go on sale at 9am this Friday 3 September, with a line-up that promises to blow the minds of fans who’ve been missing quality live music.

The festival will take place on Saturday 27 November from 12noon - late, with two stages and a line-up that boasts Holy Holy, Angie McMahon, Tia Gostelow, Dallas Frasca, Hayley Mary, Kallidad, alongside local outfits Dear Doonan, Kurilpa Reach, The Rumbrellas, Fragile Animals, Palomino III and Karl S.
