PREMIERE - Sunny Coast earth-rockers, Flaskas deliver 'Paradise' on latest single.
Sunny Coast Earth Rock legends Flaskas are back with their brilliant new single ‘Paradise’, a feel-good coastal-reggae track with hints of funk.
A killer bass line drives the track, allowing the upstroke guitar to float over the top, with tasty lead licks sneaking in, solid roots rock drumming, and Chris Flaskas’ rootsy-but-smooth vocals taking charge. For those that dig older Beautiful Girls material, or have been missing The Floating Bridges, ‘Paradise’ fills the void nicely.
Of the song, Chris says ‘Paradise’ was written in Airlie Beach (Qld) when they were up north playing at the Airlie Beach Festival Of Music.
“‘Paradise’ confesses our love for nature, this country, being our 'Paradise' and how grateful we are to travel sharing our music all over the place with you legends. ‘Paradise’ is a super charged coastal infused reggae funk tune that is just fun as to play on and off the stage. 'Open your eyes and see…. We're in Paradise'“ he said.
The boys have also announced a run of tour dates to toast the release of their new single.
Flaskas have built up an extremely impressive resume since their debut in 2016. The boys have shared the stage with luminaries such as Ash Grunwald, Boy & Bear, Tijuana Cartel, The Black Sorrows and many more. They have also appeared at Sea N Sound, Caloundra Music Festival, Horizon Festival, Ocean Street World Festival, Airlie Beach Music Festival, Airwaves Festival, Dusk Festival, The Big Pineapple Craft Beer & Wine
Expo, Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Fest, Hills Festival, World Environment Day Festival, the Noosa Festival of Surfing, as well as headlining the Commonwealth Games Welcoming Ceremony.
The band recently released their EP called ‘Free The Mind’. Fuelled by the global pandemic, the EP is a collection of songs that focuses on mental health.
