Full of raw emotion and questioning life’s decisions, ‘Drain’ packs a punch with fuzzed-out bass, ballistic beats, and a bonus one-man horn section to blast out a classic hooky line, courtesy of Sullivan Heywood (from dub/roots legends, Bearfoot).

NEW RELEASE - Alt/Rock trio, Muules strip back the noise and go acoustic with ‘Usherette’

Known for their raw and fuller take on ‘guitar-less’ alternative/prog rock, Sunshine Coast trio Muules have done a Fooey’s and dared to strip back their rock sound to show that they, too, can go (semi) acoustic with new track, ‘Usherette’ .

It’s a new take on a song that’s been a constant in their live sets, but swapping electric bass for semi-acoustic, and stripping back the fuzz and distortion, showing off a more haunting take on the rockier track.

Muules bring post-apocalyptic teddy bear nightmare to new clip, ‘Unabated’

Following the release of the latest track, ‘Unabated’ at the end of February, Sunshine Coast alt-rock trio Muules have taken the theme of against-all-odds relationships, and given it a post-apocalyptic twist for the accompanying film clip.

Adding a touch of B-grade horror-style theatrics, the film clip sees the young female protagonist (played by bassist Rhys’ 10 year-old daughter, Olivia) journey a bleak landscape on the search for her missing teddy bear, held captive by feral toys.

Sunshine Coast three-piece, the grungy, guitar-less Muules are following up their frenetic debut single ‘Butch Teeth’ with the more emotional new track, ‘It Just Happens’ - a song that delves into the complexities and odd-timings of relationships that are destined to happen.

‘It Just Happens’ will lead in to the release of the band’s debut EP, ‘In The Lines Between’, which will be releasing in early August on all digital platforms.
