Gold Coast prog/alt-rock outfit, Mass Sky Raid have released their third single, the proggy, electro-tinged belter, ‘Undertow’, which will also feature on the band’s upcoming album, ‘Calm In Chaos’ (which releases on June 3rd).

‘Undertow’ is clean, precise Australian alt/prog rock. It goes for the big moments in the choruses, pulls back enough in the verses, and goes in deep for some electro middle-eight goodness.

Melbourne's Lalchand takes us to dizzying alt-metal heights with new single, 'The View From Here'

Melbourne musical mastermind Lalchand has shared a soaring new single "The View From Here" which features Garrett Russell of Silent Planet and Liam Guinane of Reside. The single is the title track from forthcoming feature-filled EP, to be released Friday October 8.

‘The View From Here’ is both hefty and melodic, blending alternative emo rock, with prog-bordering-on-djent rhythmic tones. As much at home slotting along the likes of The Butterfly Effect/Dead Letter Circus as it would with more structurally intense acts like Tesseract, there’s plenty of epically high moments in the choruses, as well as the riff-heavy post-chorus sections that bring to mind earlier Karnivool material.
