Sunshine Coast-based indie punks ChAMBER LANe have shared their second single of the year with the aggressive and chaotically fun single ‘Love Is For Losers’.

The track follows previous singles ‘Liana’ and ‘Say Something’ in the lead-up to their sophomore EP.

The new single hits streaming services on the night of their single launch in Sydney on July 14th, as a part of their “State Of Origin spoof” tour including 3 shows across NSW and QLD (just like the footy).

Following up their Sydney celebration with a festival appearance on The Big Weekend Line-up and finally a single launch on the Sunshine Coast on July 26th at The Presynct.

‘Love Is For Losers’ definitely leans hard into the punk part of ChAMBER LANe’s indie-punk stylings, complete with Steve Jones-ish loose, aggressive riffing, bass and drums swinging harder than Sia does on a chandelier, and Connor going full brat on the vocals. ‘Love Is For Losers’ is a fun, self-deprecating sub-three minute belter for when you’ve breached the threshold of f*** it.

Vocalist Connor Hanson goes into the meaning behind the raucous new single.

“For me it’s about honesty, which explains its raw energy and sheer passion. I always relate it to being okay with feeling anger towards love because when it doesn’t go well, it fucking sucks! Embrace that,” he said

Overall this song is punchy with an angry yet playful energy. The tone of the song shifts with the last lyric switching the entitled ‘I’m not a loser like you’ to the more honest ‘I’m just a loser like you’.

For a while, ChAMBER LANe has declared themselves “Indie Punks”, and their new single cements their punk roots, anthemic choruses, and sharp punchy guitar solos. After their time in the studio in mid-2023 recording their forthcoming EP which will hit the online shelves later this year.

‘Love Is For Losers’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
