Tom Harrison gets down to some gritty raw blues rock on latest single, 'Peace With Me'

SE Qld artist, Tom Harrison charges in with a brand new, raw blues rock track in ‘Peace With Me’ - a track that taps into the grit of classic soul while leaning into a modern, atmospheric edge.

With vocals carrying a weight that feels lived-in, and back by a guitar riff that blends old country blues with modern rock, this single is a blues rock confessional - emotional, and steeped in soul, with stripped-back production and aching vocals, delivering a modern take on classic blues grit.

‘Peace With Me’ charges forward on a bedrock of blues-boogie grit, delivering raw vocals and saturated guitars that feel both familiar and fresh. The rhythmic drive never lets up, anchoring vicious, country-tinged riffs that echo back and forth like a living argument. With its atmospheric restraint and emotional weight, this track is a combustible mix of soul and stomp—perfect for lighting your own inner fire.

Mixed by Nell Forster and mastered by Mikey Young, the song was written and recorded in Tom Harrison’s home studio, with drums provided by Paul Bain (from Australian country star, Travis Collins’ band).

Tom Harrison is a musician who taps in to a diverse range of roots influences, with blues sitting at the heart of his sound. Noted for his gravelly voice that carries echoes of mountain blues, boot-stomping country, early rock’n’roll, and heartfelt gospel, what truly sets Tom Harrison apart is his ability to blend these styles so naturally, creating something both familiar and fresh.

Harrison's debut solo EP, ‘Old Growth’, arrived in 2024 and quickly made waves. His bluesy single "Miles Away" surged past 100,000 streams, while "Start Again" earned heavy rotation on ABC Radio and was featured in Rhythm magazine's prestigious Nashville sampler pack. The song's music video also found success, frequently airing on CMT (Country Music Channel) in America and climbing to #53 in 4ZZZ's Hot 100. In 2023, Harrison's songwriting talent was recognised with a nomination for Listen Up's Songwriter of the Year award. With performances at numerous festivals like Byron Bay Blues Fest under his belt, Harrison continues to captivate audiences with his soulful, genre-blending sound. 2025 see’s him releasing new music from his upcoming debut album ‘Blood On The Moon’.

‘Peace With Me’ is a big shift from the tender folk sounds of ‘Old Growth’, and leans into a heavier blues rock sound, which Harrison has been planning for a ling time.

‘I’ve always wanted to make a blues rock record. In past bands there's always been a few blues songs but I had more than enough material this time to make an upbeat blues-rock record with a few folk songs to even things out” - Tom Harrison.

‘Peace With Me’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
