LOVELOVELOVE revels in love, healing and growth on indie-folk/alt-pop EP, 'Chrysalis'
Brisbane indie-pop project, LOVELOVELOVE delivers his third EP, ‘Chrysalis’, which offers up heartfelt meditations on love, healing, and the human need for connection from an artist that is recognised as one of Australia’s most exciting genre-blenders in indie-folk and alt-pop.
The EP draws from the sonic playbook of multiple artists, in particular Gang of Youths, and The 1975, and rests on intimate vocal delivery and soaring textures.
With Chrysalis, LOVELOVELOVE have constructed a seven-story tower of lush, texture-rich indie-pop, where subtle pop-rock flourishes intersect with alt-folk moments. It plays like an elevator ride—each floor welcoming a new emotional passenger, from connection and heartbreak to healing and self-growth. While you might catch fleeting glimpses of The 1975 in the rearview, Chrysalis remains unmistakably LOVELOVELOVE: emotive, detailed, and unafraid to wear its heart right on the mix.
In just the past 12 months, LOVELOVELOVE has amassed over 1 million Spotify streams, earned multiple Triple J premieres (including Unearthed’s Home & Hosed), and scored spot rotation for the singles Golden and Pisces. The Chrysalis EP marks their third extended release and perhaps their most emotionally resonant work to date.
With momentum behind them, LOVELOVELOVE will hit the road on a national co-headline tour alongside Lottie McLeod this July, playing shows in Sydney (July 10), Melbourne (July 19), and Brisbane (July 26). They also featured in the 2024 BIGSOUND lineup, bringing their boundary-pushing indie to an even wider audience.
Blending poetic vulnerability with cinematic scale, LOVELOVELOVE continue to prove that indie music in Australia is anything but predictable.
‘Chrysalis’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
