Arabella and The Heist create a brilliant dance punk 'Ruckus' on their latest single

Naarm/Melbourne rock’n’roll misfits, Arabella and The Heist create a brilliant ‘Ruckus’ on their latest single, and are heading out on tour to support the new release.

Since their 2019 debut, Arabella and The Heist have embodied the pumped up and unhinged energy of the icons of rock and seduction of punk, encouraging their listeners to let loose and get wild. Now, ‘Ruckus’ marks the dawn of a new age for them.

Fizzling with static energy, ‘Ruckus’ is a storm of electric party beats mixed with harsh rock noise, overdriven guitar and amped up drums, making for a track that feels straight from a noughties house party. It’s loud, it’s infectious, and it’s unapologetically Arabella and The Heist.

With ‘Ruckus’, Arabella and the Heist swerve from their usual rock ’n’ roll swagger into something darker and dirtier — a breakbeat-driven, riff-laden banger that sounds like it crawled out of a 90s warehouse rave with a switchblade in its boot. The attitude is still front and centre, but now it’s filtered through fuzz, grit and electronic menace. Ruckus doesn’t just nod to the past — it thrashes around in it, dragging punk energy onto the dancefloor with middle fingers raised. It's heavy, it’s raw, and it absolutely rips.

Arabella and The Heist are taking this whirlwind energy on their east-coast tour: ignited by the raw energy ‘Ruckus', they’re taking the defiance of punk and infectious energy of dance to venues all along the coast with a setlist of new and old songs that’s fast, loud, straight to the point, and sure to establish Arabella and The Heist as one of Australia’s newest electrifying acts.

With sold-out crowds for the single launches of 'Electric' and '1769' and features in festival lineups like St Kilda Fest 2025, Brunswick Music Fest 2025, Chopped 2024 and Mordifest 2024, this tour will be the latest place where a crowd can shake off their chains and get berserk.

Embrace the chaos and join the ‘Ruckus’ with Arabella and the Heist’s newest single, and get ready make a ruckus when they go on tour later this month.

‘Ruckus’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
