Brisbane's Gabriel Bishop returns with catchy, yet musically complex new single, 'Fall Together'

Brisbane’s Gabriel Bishop returns with another slice of musically complex pop with his latest single, ‘Fall Together’.

The solo project moniker of Brisbane-based producer Harry Well, the new single sees a coming together of early 2000s hip-hop, RnB and singer/songwriter folk, with Gabriel Bishop presenting a track that is lyrically-focused, multi-layered and irresistibly catchy. There’s such a wide range of influences creeping through to make a sound that is diverse, yet unmistakably his own.

In ‘Fall Together’, Gabriel has crafted a musical Rubik’s Cube, with so many sonic colours being shifted and mixed together, twisting and turning in so many combinations, with the eventual climax resulting in every piece in the right place. It’s a wild ride, with Gabriel utilising his folk roots, and merging them with a touch of pop-fused Afrobeat, synthwave, modern hip-hop/trap and RnB flavours. While the chorus relies on Gabriel’s vocal lift, and is drenched in poppy synths, the real MVP of this track is the cleverly-crafted pre-chorus with the bass, guitar and synth intertwining, bouncing, and playing off each other. ‘Fall Together’ is beautifully confounding, multi-flavoured indie world-pop that flitters, pops and sizzles in all the right places.

Following his upbeat first single of 2023 ‘Off My Mind’, Gabriel strips away his flirty façade to show the range of emotions his music captures. Finding himself looking down the barrel of uncertain love, Bishop makes the case for diving headfirst in his new single ‘Fall Together’. An emotional combination of pop-ballad melodies, EDM synths, and South American rhythms; ‘Fall Together’ is as heartfelt as it is energetic.

Balancing on the edge between intimate and anthemic, Gabriel shows just how sophisticated his writing and production can be.

‘Fall Together’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
