Gold Coast riff-lords, Atticus Chimps return with a new chapter in their fuzzy evolution, with the new single, ‘Alien Jewelry’ out now.
Described as the apex of the the Atticus Chimp sound, ‘Alien Jewelry’ is equal parts rocknroll bludgeoning, and swinging filthy blues rock, inspired by the great Queens of the Stone Age, and Royal Blood.
‘Alien Jewelry’ creeps on in with an ominous fuzzed out riff, before thickening into a massive riff soup, which boils over and spills out a heavy swinging verse. It’s in intergalactic roadtrip song as this riff-loaded track propels you through the galaxy.
The band explore on the theme of the new track, which is about love, the cosmos, and the existential questions about life on this planet and our purpose.
