Melbourne's All Regards share heartfelt emo/alt-punk new single 'Let Me Down (Gently)'
Melbourne’s All Regards have their toes deeply dipped in the realms of emo, pop-punk and alt rock on their heartfelt new single, ‘Let Me Down (Gently)’, which is out now.
Lyrically the song explores the emotional weight of grieving and the process of ruminating on memories, feelings and love lost that follows when left alone after the fallout. "Each of us in the last couple of years has had instances where we’ve gone through grieving for something or someone that was incredibly important to us," tells the band.
"Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship/friendship or the end of a certain time in your life. It does not discriminate who it affects." LET ME DOWN (GENTLY) is produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Jack Newlyn (Between You & Me, Stuck Out).
‘Let Me Down (Gently)’ is a healthy dose of the more emo side of pop punk, with alt rock flourishes. All Regards utilising melancholy guitar picking, with a drum shuffle keeping steady pace, all balanced out by a blast to the face with a hooky wall-of-guitar groove. It’s moody alt-punk with plenty of bounce in the right spots, bringing to mind the emo/alt tones of Waxflower.
All Regards is a melting pot of pop punk, grunge, alternative and emo. The band made their debut in 2020 with the release of their debut single ‘Trainwreck’ followed closely by 2021’s single ‘Where Were You’. Following the release of both singles, All Regards spent the majority of 2022 making the most of every opportunity to play live and closed out the year with the release of their latest single ‘Wonder’ and backed it up with a sold out release show at The Tote.
2023 saw the release of the explosive single SOS alongside the unveiling of an expanded 4-piece line up at a sold-out single launch show at Melbourne's Cherry Bar. All Regards continued the momentum set out for them playing interstate shows for the first time in Canberra, Launceston and Adelaide.
The band have collected support from triple j, triple j Unearthed, community radio stations and online editorial across the globe. Their accolades have earned them support slots for mainstays of the alternative and heavy music scene including Bad Juju, Reside, Loose End, Waxflower, Drastic Park and Offset Vision. With more music and shows on the horizon, All Regards look towards an exciting second half of 2024.
‘Let Me Down (Gently)’ is available now and streaming on all platforms.
