Brisbane's LOVELOVELOVE celebrate summery romance in indie-pop single, 'Ultraviolet'

Brisbane-baed indie-pop duo, LOVELOVELOVE return with another single that pushes genre boundaries in ‘Ultraviolet’, a track that follows the ebb and flow of falling in love.

‘Ultraviolet’ is the first taste of the next step for LOVELOVELOVE, following on the success of previous singles ‘smalltowns’, ‘holding on’, and ‘Break Your Heart’, all released earlier in 2022.

‘Ultraviolet’ blurs modern pop, soft rock, and indie flourishes into a catchy, bouncing blend. Capturing romantic notions and summery vibes, ‘Ultraviolet’ blooms with soft acoustic guitar strumming, bubbling synths, pop beats, and cute synth horns. The track glows as it progresses, brimming in positivity. Having a bad day? This track is sure to perk you up.

Of the track, the duo of Denis and Jared explained that it was written about the emotions they were experiencing simultaneously, which inspired the need to capture the essence of that feeling.

“Ultraviolet was written about the ebb & flow of falling in love, a feeling we were both experiencing deeply at the time. We crafted the writing around the positive emotions we felt, expressing how love is akin to feelings of warmth, vibrance and summer,” they said.

The production was crafted to emulate these characteristics through a unique combination of upbeat drums, grungy electric guitars, arpeggiated synths and a driving bass.

Having made their mark with their recorded works, LOVELOVELOVE will be shifting to the live circuit next year, with their first headline show on January 5th at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane.

‘Ultraviolet’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
