Sydney/Gadigal Indie Rock outfit, Buffalo Paradise are back with their first single of the year, with ‘Dressed Like Me’ matching the band’s earnest energy, charisma and energy.

The releases comes off the back of a busy year playing sold-out shows, and sharing stages with Coterie, SUZI and more, before heading to the famous The Grove Studios (DMAs, Vera Blue, Ocean Alley) to birth ‘Dressed Like Me’ - a track that would become their finest to date.

What starts off as a cruise-y indie rock track, ‘Dressed Like Me’ quickly flirts with yacht rock stylings, putting those white linen suits and loafers to work, letting guitars sparkle, the bass roll (and hang on to dear life with those single note syncopations), the drums flow into stylish carefree mode, and the vocals swoon and croon. BUT, this track gets flipped on its head at the two minutes and thirty-six seconds mark, with Buffalo Paradise turning on the smoke machines and the strobe, embracing their inner Hall and Oates for some souped-up 80s party slickness.

Embracing their own unique style and owning it with confidence, the lovable larrikins have hit the ground running ever since the release of their self-titled single, ‘Buffalo Paradise’, in late 2021. Fusing elements of Surf Rock, Indie, and Pop effortlessly, the band create laid back compositions that are sure to have you wrapped up in a Buffalo Paradise beach towel and a warm sunny day at the beach.

November 2022 saw Buffalo Paradise release their debut album, “The Kids Be Dancin”, with leading single, ‘Half Awake’ getting picked up by Australian Youth Broadcaster, Triple J with prime-time exposure. The band have also received support from JJJ Unearthed, RAGE, 2ser, Coast FM, 4ZZZ and more.

‘Dressed Like Me’ weaves anthemic choruses together with punchy, joyful verses. Drenched with glowing indie-rock guitar’s, funky bass, and energetic drums throughout, listening to this track feels like rediscovering the best summer of your youth, triggering that nostalgic feeling of being perpetually young.

"We love the catchiness of 'Dressed Like Me.' It's the kind of song that gets stuck in your head in the best way possible. We knew we wanted to create a sound that would transport our listeners to a warm, sunny beach. We think we nailed it with this one.” - Buffalo Paradise

Buffalo Paradise find inspiration in Australian music juggernauts Lime Cordiale, Spacey Jane and Gang of Youths. In turn, Buffalo Paradise’s sound will win over fans of Lime Cordiale, Beddy Rays & Pacific Avenue. The group has hit their musical stride within their latest single, boasting a sound that is uniquely theirs, yet instantly recognisable. 2023 is the year of the Buffalo, seeing the band cement their own unique place in the Australian music scene.

Don’t be afraid to stream Buffalo Paradise’s energetic banger, ‘Dressed Like Me’ which is out now on all platforms.
