Introducing TALLOU, and her debut indie-pop single, 'I Promise I Love You'
South-East Queensland singer/songwriter TALLOU sets her sights on 2023 with her debut single, ‘I Promise I Love You’, waltzing in with a healthy slab of heartfelt indie-pop.
No stranger to reinvention, TALLOU is the new moniker for Tiana Dennis (formerly QMA-winning duo Oh Harlow, and The Dennis Sisters), who has taken the much-needed time off from performing to re-evaluate with her music; the end result being a more mature, pop-skewed indie take.
‘I Promise I Love You’ takes the heart and skill TALLOU had with her previous projects, and explores the land of bass synths, dirty slow pop beats, and adds some grit into the mix. While there is still some youthfulness to this sound, TALLOU digs deep into your chest, holds on to your heart, and you have to trust that she’ll do the right thing with it. Spoiler - she does. You’ll swoon and sway to the plucked 50s Gretsch tones, and float away into reverbed indie dream-pop.
The new TALLOU project sees Tiana draw influence from strong female songwriters Olivia Rodrigo, and Holly Humberstone, carving her own stories into the new indie-pop dream sound, and continuing to prove her perseverance with her passion to create meaningful music.
This is a well-deserved re-birth for an artist that is really only truly just finding themselves.
Dig deep into ‘I Promise I Love You’ now via all streaming platforms, and keep an eye out for the accompanying music video due out soon.
