Sunshine Coast's Nong gets all proggy-tinged in new track, 'Stomper'.

Nong is a solo project by Keegan Roche which began in 2012, occasionally featuring guest musicians. The music for Nong is recorded in Keegan's bedroom home-studio on the Sunshine Coast.

Influenced by artists such as Yes, Brian Wilson, Paul Simon, Pink Floyd and more, Nong's prog-tinged track, 'Stomper' gives sly nods to these influences, with even a subtle Police reference.

Featuring Conor Roche on lead guitar, 'Stomper' is the first track to be released from the ‘Rainbow & Arrows’ E.P, which is set for release in December 2018. This is a follow -up to 2015’s ‘Onward Till The Sun’ E.P.

Zac Gunthorpe brings the 'Ghost of the Town' to you

“All I’ve ever wanted to do is write songs and be true to them,” says Zac Gunthorpe.

It might sound like an obvious approach, but some musicians take years to discover it. For Gunthorpe there was never any other way, which tells you much about the young songwriter and his music. As a youngster, he plunged into music so intensely he would have exploded if he didn’t have a crack at making it himself. Combining enthusiasm (bordering on obsession) with natural talent and an intimate familiarity with Beatles/Byrds/Band songcraft, he was off and running.

Five-time finalist at the recent Gold Coast Music Awards, singer/songwriter Black Rabbit George is loved for his brilliant but somewhat dark-tinged and melancholic songwriting style. But a recent experience of unrequited love has inspired an uncharacteristically upbeat, folk-driven ballad that is at once reflective and joyful. Japanese Vintage—released 29 June 2018—is a standout track that is poised to be his most accessible work to date.

CLOWNS aren't foolin' around with new single and tour - playing Solbar in September

'Freezing In The Sun’ is a taste of what is yet to come from Clowns. The new single sees bright and jangly guitars juxtaposed with politicised lyrics of discontent. The lyrics demanding ‘tell me what the fuck I am supposed to do, when I know my taxes are paying for kids to be held in Nauru’, coupled with the dreamy and mesmerising chorus sung by bassist Hanny J.
