Solbar and David Dean Events are hosting a unique musical event - A Night Of Music And Conversation with three remarkable musical talents each with inspiring and life changing stories to share.
Be fascinated by the true-life journeys of MC Wheels, Brooke Schubert and Mason Hope,
interviewed by radio talk show host, Matt Collins. This once only event is from 6:30 pm on Wednesday 15 August 2018 at The Playhouse (within the Solbar), a sit down venue with a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
You can sit down with a drink and enjoy hearing stories and music from these remarkable artists.
MC Wheels:
MC Wheels (aka Nathan Tessman) is a young rapper who has a rare Spinal Muscular Atrophy condition which severely affects his ability to perform everyday actions. Nathan’s condition has no cure, so his future is uncertain and unpredictable. He has performed his catchy rhymes to packed audiences throughout Australia. He is a real life hero and an inspiration to a generation with a story that will uplift.
Brooke Schubert:
Brooke has performed with some of the country’s top acts - Tina Arena, Rick Price, Zac Brown, Kasey Chambers, Jimmy Barnes, The McClymonts and Terry Clark. After a social media video sent to Keith Urban, she was invited by Keith to join him on his recent national tour. By her late twenties, Brooke decided her weight was affecting her quality of life and she has since lost half her body weight.
Mason Hope:
Compared to a cross between Guy Sebastian and a young Elvis, Mason gained national exposure after his journey on this year’s series of The Voice. Mason is a national ambassador for Headspace (Mental Health Organisation) having joined the Headspace committee at age 11.
Matt Collins:
Host for the evening, Matt Collins is a journalist, radio talk show and podcast host. His popular podcast ‘Coffee Chats with Matt Collins’ has a weekly audience spanning over 50 countries.
