Brisbane's Reckless Coast burn with dramatic, romantic single, 'Ambers'

Brisbane’s Reckless Coast are back at it, following up their last single, ‘Do You Want Me?’ with a brand new track, the intense, almost lovelorn ‘Ambers’.

The trio are straight off the back of their previous single’s tour, which spanned from Sunshine Coast to Sydney, supporting the wild swing of ‘Do You Want Me?’, but the latest track sidesteps and shows an air of operatic grandiose mixed with a rugged riff-driven heartbeat; a song that brings a definite new flavour to the band’s repertoire.

‘Ambers’ wastes no time getting down to business, with Reckless Coast’s rock’n’roll swagger that burns, and vocalist/guitarist Jaeden Ogston’s impassioned 50s-style vocal take. While it feels like the track will be stuck with the throttle on full, in comes in that crooning chorus that offers up a more dramatic, romantic bent. It’s a big song, with a huge heart, and puppy dog eyes, and a wicked guitar solo with bite.

Reckless Coast will be taking the new single on tour through August, from Brisbane, to Gold Coast, and Sydney, with ‘Ambers’ proving that the band is reviving the contemporary standing of the rock genre.

"Ambers definitely stands out due to its unique tonality" says frontman Jaeden Ogston "but that's what we're about… new, fresh, and interesting approaches to a genre that almost always feels re-hashed nowadays.”

Returning interstate to NSW earlier this year to Sydney's renown Rock 'n' Roll staple Frankie's Pizza, the Brisbane based power trio are rapidly becoming known for some of the most organically, energetic live shows in the scene.

With their 2021 garage coated single "TALK" sitting at 15k streams within less than a year, and their last single "Do You Want Me?" already at 3k, Reckless Coast's repertoire of ear-worms has been steadily growing. Their tracks have also been included on playlists such as Domestic La La's "Tuna Tuesday" , Samsung's "Performance Enhancing Music", and the Apple Music curated "The New Rock”.

With a groove-fuelled rock adrenaline, Reckless Coast delivers a no-nonsense, unpretentious approach to music, that remains undiluted by mainstream currents.

‘Ambers’ is out now on all streaming platforms.

Reckless Coast will be launching the "Ambers" single with three shows:

- August 12th: O'Skulligans, Brisbane, QLD

- August 13th: Eddie's Grub House, Gold Coast, QLD

- August 27th: Frankie's Pizza, Sydney, NSW
