NEAV returns with an electro-pop journey of self-determination and discovery with 'Me'

NEAV follows up on previous powerful (and hooky) single, ‘Full of Yourself’ with the empowering new track, ‘Me’ - bursting with vibrance, and catchy melodies, while loaded with sharp production and an uplifting sense of self-determination.

Lyrically, the song probes the psychology of overcoming inertia, urging bold personal breakthroughs amid life’s pressures. Through its dynamic arrangement and bold energy, ‘Me’ becomes an anthem for self-belief and the courage to take action.

This track positions NEAV as a sharp voice in electronic pop, building on her rising catalog. 

The next phase of NEAV sees an artist fully confident in her own voice and direction — something first hinted at on previous single ‘Full of Yourself’ and now realised with clarity on ‘Me’. Building on her foundation of layered synth work, NEAV leans harder into a more direct electro-pop approach, stepping away from the lush, cinematic textures that defined 2022’s Elegy.

In its place is a sharper, more club-minded sound, shaped by European electronic influences — a familiar terrain for NEAV following her past collaborations with KAS:ST. ‘Me’ is sleek and immediate; electro-pop that moves with purpose, bouncing from ear to ear while steadily burrowing its way into your subconscious. The repeated “me, me, me” hook is deceptively simple, firing off neurons with every pass and proving impossible to shake once it’s taken hold.

With ‘Me’, NEAV doesn’t just refine her sound — she owns it.  

Speaking on the creation of ‘Me’, NEAV discusses her journey of self-discovery, which poured out in the studio.

“The concept of ‘Me’ was the first idea I took into a studio whilst abroad in Europe (2024). It followed a week or so of solo traveling. I faced myself without distractions or other people's opinions. I discovered that I actually quite like who I am, despite my flaws. Realising that I have always been there for myself and discovering the beauty of my own mind was a really invigorating feeling. Though simple, I think I wanted to write a mantra of sorts to remind myself of this perception. I think far too often I fear spending quality time alone, so this song helps me to remember it’s good for me.” - NEAV

“Me” was created in Amsterdam with producer/songwriter Lukaz during NEAV’s trip to The Netherlands, funded by Create Australia’s ‘Export Development Fund’ for ‘Professional and Artistic Development’. The track was further developed, mixed and mastered in Sydney with Jesse Deskovic and Ben Feggans from Studios 301.

“Me” is the second single (following “Full of Yourself” released in December 2025) from NEAV's forthcoming EP “be.” set for release in April 2026.

NEAV (aka Niamh Watson) was a recipient of the first ever round of Create Australia’s 2024 ‘Export Development Fund’ for ‘Professional and Artistic Development’. With this support, she undertook a six-week European songwriting and networking trip, connecting and collaborating with industry professionals in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm and Edinburgh.

NEAV will be releasing a third single in March 2026, followed by her new EP “be.”, set for release April 2026.
