Dé Saint brings in the club-owning tech house banger, 'Good Girl Gone' (and remixes)
House label EXCEED dish up another epic release from our Queen of Clubs, Dé Saint with her latest offering, ‘Good Girl Gone’, with the single (and its remixes) already rocketing into the ARIA Club Charts on release.
It’s another killer funky tech house track, produced and written by Dé Saint, as well as featuring a wicked vocal from the artist herself. Rather than punch you in the face with energy, the one gently worms its way int your conscience via the slinky groove. It’s perfect for those cooler tech house club sets.
‘Good Girl Gone’ rolls on in like it owns the club, but isn’t all up in your face about it. It’s a confident, rubbery banger, fully loaded with hooks, from the elastic bass line and big beats, to the balance of the snaking, stuttering synth layers, and the honed-in vocal delivered by Dé Saint herself; it’s damn catchy, and if there’s any downside, the track is over just as you’re getting stuck into that Tim Deluxe-ish ‘la la la’ melody (good thing there’s two bonus remixes to devour). Scientists, you can stop looking for future fuel sources for a bit; this track has enough bounce to power us through the next few decades.
A superb set or remixes back it up, with Australian legend Spacey Space and UK producer Camden Cassa delivering big time.
Spacey flips it with an electronic pulsating remix. Still with all the vocals, but with an entirely new vibe, he lets the staccato synth line slowly build the energy, adding bass, vocals and eventually the broken beat drums before a 4/ 4 kick joins the party. A distinctive and creative remix from one of Australia’s most revered talents.
Camden Cassa brings the energy with a huge, big-room, tech-house roller. Think large drums, snare rolls, sweeps and vibes! Snippets of the vocal tease before dropping in a breakdown that quickly builds back into the energetic, big sounding production where it continues to chug with a great energy.
All up three killer versions and all with different vibes… a three-course meal full of chunky funk house goodness.
‘Good Girl Gone’ is out now on all streaming platforms, thanks to EXCEED.
