Big Pineapple Music Festival 2021 Wrap-up

It’s been a week now, since Big Pineapple Music Festival returned and blew our collective minds.

Wasn’t 2020 that absolute worst for live music events? Well, thankfully, we’re all still here, and music festivals are coming back.

One of the Sunshine Coast’s biggest live music events is The Big Pineapple Music Festival (now in its 8th year - but technically the 7th generation of the festival) persevered and went full steam ahead on May 22. We sent photographer Chris Clow to take it aaaallll in.

Forrest Run release new single, 'Never Go Back' from forthcoming sophomore EP, ahead of their Big Pineapple Music Festival performance

May 22nd 2021 will see Forrest Run playing triple j’s BIG PINEAPPLE MUSIC FESTIVAL - just one day after releasing the lead single ‘NEVER GO BACK’ from their sophomore EP.

In this EP, the Sunshine Coast indie-electronic trio retained the catchy pop-hooks they became known for in their debut release, while expanding to a much larger, more developed sound. ‘NEVER GO BACK’ exemplifies this, as well as embodying an uplifting energy that’s guaranteed to fill you with hope and good vibes.

Forrest Run on a roll with new single, ‘Leave The Lights’ - announced for Big Pineapple Music Festival.

2019 saw electro-pop trio, Forrest Run hit the ground, well, running with a killer lead single, followed by the debut EP and festival slots and major supports, and they don’t show any sign of slowing down as we head into the new decade with a brand new single, ‘Leave The Lights’.
