Russian-born Sunshine Coast singer/songwriter Innessa has delivered a tender folk-based pop single in ‘Sweet Love’, and though it sounds as if it was a conventional love song, the song goes a little deeper than that.
Known for her quirky alternative-pop takes, while blending in elements of traditional Slavic music (Innessa has previously released an album comprised of Russian folk songs), ‘Sweet Love’ showcases Innessa’s vocal control and knack for clever, smooth harmonies, and utilising deep RnB/Pop instrumentation, while driven by soft piano lines.
