Brisbane duo East Capri are on a roll, having released their third single ‘Danger To Myself’ in the lead up to their EP, ‘Wake n Repeat’ due out on Friday, August 27.
Following the turmoil of unhealthy coping mechanisms adopted after the passing of a loved one, ‘Danger To Myself’ adopts and expands on the heavy alternative soundscape East Capri have carved, utilising tight, hefty drums, dirty bass, layers of synths and bringing in some Vai-ish guitar licks in a tasty middle section.

Taking cues from current popular heavy alt acts, East Capri combine hip hop and synth pop elements with solid, rock drums, walls of guitar and emotional vocals. There’s definitely hints of Twenty One Pilots and later Bring Me The Horizon shining through their sound, while still retaining their own sonic approach.
