Meiia keeps the nu-soul flowing with buttery new single, 'Keep It Together'

Cairns-based artist, Meiia keeps the nu-soul tones flowing, following up her recent release, ‘Boys Like You’, with the super-buttery new single, ‘Keep It Together’, which is out now.

Inspired by the likes of Sammy Rae and the Friends, RAYE, Olivia Dean and Lawrence, this track wraps up the chaos of relationship anxiety in a groove so smooth you almost forget it’s about spiralling.

Meiia slides straight out of ‘Boys Like You’ and into her third single, ‘Keep It Together’, keeping that retro-soul vibe alive but giving it a punchy, modern bounce. It’s got this mix of warmth and drive that makes it feel both nostalgic and fresh at the same time.

Her voice sits effortlessly over EMEREE’s tight production, lifting the track into something really empowering and infectious. ‘Keep It Together’ feels like Meiia fully stepping into her sound — confident, soulful, and impossible not to move along with.

‘Keep it Together’ is Meiia's second project with producer EMEREE meaning this track is packed with plenty of character and delicious vocal stacks with a retro, live feel.

After ‘Boys Like You’ was added to Triple J Unearthed rotation and played on Triple J Unearthed TOPS, Meiia is beyond excited to share this single with the world.

In the lead up to this release, you can catch Meiia live as support for The Cat Empire at their Cairns show! Shortly after, she is hosting a single launch on the 2nd of September at BAR36 @ The Casino with a 5-piece band.
