Alpha Wolf announce Terrible Days Across Australia 2025 Regional Tour
Following an entirely sold out recent headline run and the acclaimed release of their new album Half Living Things, 2025 is already shaping up to be another monster for ALPHA WOLF, with the band today announcing the Terrible Days Across Australia 2025 regional tour, joined this May and early June by special guests MALEVOLENCE (UK) and ZUKO.
Kicking off this mammoth regonal run on Thursday 1 May in Cairns, the Terrible Days Across Australia Tour will then barrel through Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Coffs Harbour, the Gold Coast, Tamworth, Caringbah, NSW's Central Coast, Wollongong, Canberra, Warrnambool, Forth, Hobart, Geelong, Albury, Castlemaine and, finally, closing out in Narre Warren on Sunday 1 June.
"We are hyped to be bringing a headline show out to the Aussie regional spots that don’t get shows too often, making this our longest Australian tour to date. The energy of the shows is something different to anywhere else in the world. and we have been waiting a long time to come back after spending a lot of the last few years overseas. Being able to bring our friends in Malevolence all the way from the UK is an honour, and we can’t wait to show them all the weird and wonderful spots Australia has to offer, as well as the new blood in Zuko. Don’t miss these shows!" — Alpha Wolf
Never ones to do anything by halves, ALPHA WOLF have relentlessly sharpened their trademark intensity over the years, from releasing their critically-acclaimed sophomore album A Quiet Place To Die amid the pandemic in 2020, snagging a #6 spot on the ARIA Charts and a nomination for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Awards, through to releasing a split EP, The Lost & The Longing, with Welsh rockers Holding Absence in 2022, and, most recently, unleashing their razor-sharp third studio album Half Living Things last April, securing a Grammy Award nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package, as well as a #2 debut on the ARIA Australian Album Charts, #3 on the ARIA Vinyl Album charts upon release.
Bringing back the noise literally via the release of their "violently destructive" pedal The Noise in collaboration with Tallon Electric, the first two releases of The Noise previously sold out, with a third release of the pedal now available. The Noise brings a new spin on the whammy sound that ALPHA WOLF have become known for, including knobs for Panic (splitting the signal sharp and flat for dissonance), Chaos (introduces random pitch movement to shift away from the centre frequency) and Speed (applies all-pass feedback and amplitude modulation).
ALPHA WOLF whipped Australian audiences into a frenzy in 2024 with their completely sold out Half Living Things Australian Tour, also closing out the year on home soil wowing the crowds at Good Things Festival. And last year the group also solidified their international star power in North America with their own headline run, and supports with Motionless in White and Dayseeker, along with an appearance in the UK at Download Festival. Renowned for their riotous energy and insatiable dexterity, ALPHA WOLF have exploded beyond being a cult favourite into bona fide "must sees" on a global scale.
Hailing from Sheffield in the UK, metal heavyweights MALEVOLENCE have risen out of the underground and into international infamy since forming in 2010, spending the past few years relentlessly touring across Europe, North America and Australia, including appearances at some of the scene's most iconic festivals, including the UK's Download Festival, Welcome To Rockville in the US, and the first ever edition of Knotfest Australia in 2023. With a stalwart stable of heavy releases, including their most recent album, 2022's Malicious Intent, MALEVOLENCE have established a towering reputation as undisputed experts in crafting striking and aggressive hardcore, metal and more at an elite level that dazzles old school fans and newcomers equally.
Brisbane hardcore aficionados ZUKO first emerged back in 2021 via their debut single Roe Ct and have since gone on to stamp their presence on the scene via their ferociously heavy sound, with the group ultimately going on to release their debut EP Hereditary in 2022, a follow up EP Venom // Absence in 2023, and most recently catching attention via their blistering 2024 EP Hatred. With sold out stages in their wake over the years, ZUKO most recently supported Stepson in Brisbane earlier this month, and have also previously shared stages with the likes of Heists, Spite and Diamond Construct.
In 2025, prepare for utter sonic annihilation as ALPHA WOLF tear across regional Australia - run don't walk to secure your chance to revel in the spectacular mayhem that lies in wait, tickets for the Terrible Days Across Australia Tour definitely won't last long!
