BRAND NEW - Gold Coast's KOOLZ returns to warm us up with bouncy, epic single, 'Coffee'

Gold Coaster Koolz returns with a new vibrant, crisp single in ‘Coffee’ which gives off refreshing early-to-mid 00’s tones, along with a relaxed vibe.

‘Coffee’ gives that warm, much-needed buzz, that’s easy on the sweetness, but adds plenty of smooth flavour that sticks around. Koolz has developed a knack for creating honeyed vocal takes over slick RnB beats, surrounded by plenty of pop shimmy, and ‘Coffee’ continues that tradition. It’s an introspective take on self-care with funk-flanged guitar, and a sunshine-y lead lick, sitting on top of a rounded, bouncy rhythm section. Koolz has delivered another addictive banger that heats up the insides, and keeps you perked up for the rest of the day.

The new track has a way of creeping in to your head, with a chorus that reels you in along with its bright pop soundscape and attitude.

Of ‘Coffee’, Koolz explains that it has a beautiful mess aspect about it, being a beacon of light that guides the way, and confirms that everything is going to be fine.

“‘Coffee’ is about being kind to yourself. I guess the casualness of the title lightens the fact that the song is actually deeper than the surface. Far too often as we go through life’s distractions and experiences and the common fact remains that we as human beings generally are our own worst enemies. More so than we are friends with our own selves,” Koolz said.

The song encourages the listener to disconnect from our egos, and remember our attitudes shape our feelings, beliefs, and very often our behaviours.

“Sitting down with yourself over a coffee and figuring out what happiness looks like to you and finding a way to be that.”

‘Coffee’ is the first single since Koolz’ self-titled EP, which was released earlier this year.
