Melbourne Alt Rock act, Reside announce 12" vinyl release

Melbourne alternative rock five-piece Reside have announced the immediate release of their first-ever vinyl release - a packaging of two EPs - 'The Light That You Saw' and 'Relight' on one 12" vinyl. Vocalist/Guitarist for the band, Liam Guinane said they are ecstatic to be putting out the records in this way. "It's very cool to finally be able to put something special like this together. Having these two EPs placed side by side like this sums up exactly what kind of band I always envisioned us being;

The vinyl encompasses the last two EP releases 'The Light That You Saw' and 'Relight' - the latter being a re-imagining of tracks from 'The Light You Saw'.

'The Light That You Saw', brought a melancholic sound to the table and saw the band establish themselves as one of Melbourne's finest alternative emo outfits. 'Relight' acts as "the other side, the light to the dark" and experiments with an electronic, brighter soundscape. A space where the band could explore new territory and breathe new life into fan favourites.

'The Light That You Saw' made its way to the ears of hundreds of thousands of listeners, leading with "In This Moment" which received high praise from Triple J and was added to Spotify playlists New Music Friday AU + NZ and Rock Out.

Reside have garnered praise for these two EPs and the tracks contained within.

With words thrown around to explain the releases such as cinematic, and arena-sized emo, the Melbourne act have taken what is known about emo rock, and forced it into an evolution that takes sounds and tones from heavier genres, taking away the super-aggressiveness and adding a little more heart.
