Melbourne’s Teenage Dads are absolutely dominating on their massive 30-stop national headline tour across Australia & New Zealand. This follows on from their electrifying tour across the UK, Ireland and Europe, and is in support of their latest single, ‘Speed Racer’.

Combining gritty yet melodic retro-inspired vocals, tight-knit rhythms and memorable hooks, ‘Speedracer’ captures the essence of the band's eclectic fusion of genres and proves again the band’s perfected knack for engaging story-telling.  “In reference to the 1967 anime and 2008 film, “Speedracer” is the person that sends your heart racing at a 1000 miles per hour without a second thought.” The dynamic interplay of funky basslines, driving percussion, and vibrant synth textures creates a mesmerising sonic landscape reminiscent of the Talking Heads' experimental spirit and proves again the breakthrough act’s knack for story-telling.

Renowned for their high-energy, out-of-this-world live show, Teenage Dads have today revealed their biggest headline tour to date, announcing 30 dates across Australia & New Zealand from August - September this year and heading to just about anywhere there are music fans. A very welcome homecoming after a huge year playing shows across the UK, Europe and the US, Jordy, Connor, Angus, and Vince have invited the very best local talent to join them on the road including The Moving Stills, Death by Denim, Mim Jensen (NZ), Aleksiah, Lola Scott and Betty Taylor plus many more.  This might be your last chance to see Teenage Dads in 2023 so don’t miss out.

‘Speedracer’ is the first we’ve heard from the four-piece since the release of their Midnight Driving EP (featuring fan favourites ‘Hey, Diego!’, ‘Exit Sign’ and Hottest 100 debut track ‘Teddy’) that charted at #2 in the Australian Album Charts, and at #28 in the ARIA Album charts. The band took the new music on a huge tour across Australia & New Zealand playing to sold-out crowds before hitting the road again with Groovin The Moo 2023. Playing as special guests with good friends Lime Cordiale on their recent UK/ EU headline tour, the band will kick off their own run of headline shows across the UK before heading home for a few days to make their Splendour In The Grass debut in July.

Locally, Teenage Dads will stop through to play Solbar on Thursday September 21, Burleigh Bazaar on Friday September 22, and The Triffid on September 23 with The Moving Stills and Betty Taylor.
