Reckless Coast deal with some 'Bad Habits' on latest rip-roaring retro rock single.

Brisbane’s retro-rock legends, Reckless Coast leave 2023 with a little taste of their next EP in the form of latest single, the East Coast highway tune, ‘Bad Habits’. Fresh off the bat from supporting the likes of Satin Cali, and ARIA chart artist, Jack Billman, the three-piece bring the band’s coastal pub-rock persona to the forefront, featuring 1970s-spiced, surf-esque energy, with pub-mosh potential.

'Bad Habits' outlines toxic situations people keep returning to. Frontman and songwriter Jaeden Ogston explains "Sometimes we can get so used to a situation that we don't see ourselves deteriorating. Like, am I actually in love with this person? Or have I become numb from all the bullsh*t?"

Recorded with Cody McWaters (The Chats, King Stingray) 'Bad Habits' is the first of five tracks from Reckless Coast's upcoming EP, set for an early 2024 release.

‘Bad Habits’ is fired-up, flared-out, rock’n’roll, retrofitted with modified glam, and packed full of attitude. Reckless Coast have been busy carving out their take on 70s rock with a modern touch for a few years now, blending touches of The Rolling Stones, The Darkness, early You Am I, and later-era Foo Fighters, and wrapping them up in a good-times rock’n’roll ribbon. The guitars are melodically fuzzy, the bass driving and giving melodic undertones, and drums in full party mode, letting frontman/guitarist Jaeden ooze out effortless vocal delivery. ‘Bad Habits’ have never felt (or sounded) so good.

With Brick Lane Brewing Co. as their first major partnership,Reckless Coast forms the long-awaited bond between Indie/Alternate listeners and Retro Rockers - a salted, sonic lovechild of Foo Fighters adrenaline and The Rolling Stones swagger

Their euphoric energy has been featured internationally on playlists such as Apple Music's 'The New Rock', Too Much Love Mag (Miami, USA), and Soundofus.com (France). This comes alongside consistent press coverage from The Bucket Playlist (Europe), Metal Music Planet (Ireland), and The AU Review (Australia).

Remaining a totally independent, self-managed band, Reckless Coast has been reaching milestone after milestone and continues to grow into their international potential.

‘’Bad Habits’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
