CHEAP-SKATE go for 'Lost n Broke' in latest fun, brattish surf-punk single.

Gippsland’s CHEAP-SKATE crack open another single with ‘Lost n Broke’, a track the relives times fresh out of high school, share-house living and just trying to understand and get by in this crazy world.

Written by main CHEAP-SKATE Blaike Murphy and live rhythm guitarist Bryce, ‘Lost n Broke’ marks the end of an era for the punk outfit, and will also usher in the next evolution for the band, who have played with the likes of Hockey Dad, Dune Rats, Satin Cali , Chasing Ghosts , Friends of Friends , Semantics , Rum Jungle and headlined The Terrys first Battle of the Bands.

Scungy, brattish, and full of no fucks, ‘Lost n Broke’ carries on with CHEAP-SKATE’s surf/skate garage punk rock; it’s loose, carefree, and full of share-house nihilism, all wrapped up in bummed Rollie packets and soaked in VB for extra flavour.

Accompanying the track is a music video that incorporates punk ethics, which Blaike discusses.

“The music video I decided I wanted to start introducing the home DIY style with a VHS look, as well as including our audience and fans by using Instagram story footage that they have taken of our live performances over the last year and a half,” he said.

Selling exclusive merch including shirt runs intended to only be printed once, Vinyl, Cassettes and more, CHEAP-SKATE have no intention of slowing down.

With talks of their debut album in the works, nothing can stop the inevitable force that is CHEAP-SKATE.

‘Lost n Broke’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
