Sunshine Coast Indie Artist, LUUNG delivers final single for 2022 in 'Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye'

Sunshine Coast indie artist, LUUNG finishes 2022 off strong with one final solo release in ‘Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye’, blending minimalist pop and folk, paired with the signature LUUNG falsetto, which forms a dazzling sonic world that you won’t want to look away from.

Citing influences such as LANY and Andrew Belle, these helped to shape the production of the new single. The track is reverb-drenched and sparkly, sonically representing a level of production that LUUNG is really proud of.

LUUNG (aka Bailey Jeffs) has crafted his sonic signature based around heavy atmospherics, lush pads, light guitar work and reverb-drenched falsetto, and ‘Goodbye Goodby Goodbye’ carries on in that flavour. While the verses wash over you like soft, foamy waves, LUUNG manages to create a sense of urgency, in an uplifting way, by doubling down on the drums, while still maintaining that dreamy essence. It’s folk-tinged synth pop for the daydreamers out there.

LUUNG leans heavily on a distinct rhythmic and lyrical structure that carries throughout the whole track. Illustrating the push and pull found in two people longing for one another. This is evident in the line “I miss you when you’re gone, but we hardly talk when you’re near.”

“I really wanted to try and stick to a more classic lyrical structure. I normally like to break the flow of rhyming words, but it felt right to keep the format of this one consistent.” - LUUNG

Although this is the last solo LUUNG release of the year, the artist has a cut on the new CLN album (via Mammal Sound) out December 8th, be sure to keep an eye out for his feature on the track “Wait For It.”
