Following on from the catchy single ‘Be Your Lady’, The Letter Elle has now released the smooth, soulful track, ‘Don’t Have The Time x’, boasting plenty of confidence, charm and loads of bounce.

With pristine pop hooks, lo-fi synths and blissful vocal layers, Don't Have The Time x demands to be listened on repeat. Lyrically, The Letter Elle (real name Gabrielle Emery) shares a message of unapologetic confidence. "I hope [the song] makes my listeners feel confident and hyped up for the day... I want this to be a “bad bitch” energy song for them," said Gabrielle. "The original demo for the song was called ‘Sass Queen Anthem’ and, even though I gave the finished version a different name, I still feel like it perfectly sums up the energy I'm trying to give off."

For The Letter Elle, the composition of this song was a cathartic experience, helpful in overcoming obstacles. "I actually wrote [Don't Have The Time x] at my old job working in a warehouse and doing admin for a sound engineering company. It was the day after I had received yet another of the many rejections you get in the music industry and I had a lot of frustration built up," explained Gabrielle. "I set up a fold up table in the middle of the warehouse and a PA and started writing... the whole song flowed out straight away. I had the whole demo done in about 3 hours," she concluded.

Don't Have The Time x joins an impressive catalogue of The Letter Elle's other releases: the most recent of which being the widely acclaimed single Be Your Lady. Along with her 2020 singles Sunrise and Faithful, The Letter Elle's music has received love from triple j, Double j, TheMusic, CLOUT, Belter Radio in London, and KNON 89.3FM in Dallas among others. With a growing fanbase already several thousand strong across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, it is clear that The Letter Elle's star only continues to rise.

"The track is a reminder to own yourself and your craft and to be confident in yourself - no matter where you are in your career and what you’re doing."

‘Don’t Have The Time x’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
