Brisbane's Alt-country stalwarts, Mexico City meets indie folk – A special night at The Presynct, Nambour

Sunshine Coast music lovers, get ready for a night of gritty alt-country, evocative indie folk and raw, heartfelt storytelling as three of Queensland’s finest acts come together for a one-night-only event.

On Saturday 22 March, Brisbane alt-country veterans Mexico City will take the stage alongside local troubadours Zac Gunthorpe and Josh Deeble at The Presynct, Nambour.

Mexico City are veterans of the Brisbane rock and roll scene, having shared stages with The Black Keys, Cat Power, You Am I, The Drones, Tex Perkins, Tony Joe White, M. Ward, Jason Molina and the Mess Hall. With four albums under their belt, the five-piece blends gritty, melancholic alt-country with a raw garage-rock edge, drawing comparisons to Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Wilco and The Band.

Expect rich melodies, compelling lyricism and the kind of honest songwriting that defines Australia’s alternative country and indie-folk scene.

Tickets are on sale now—don’t miss your chance to experience three incredible artists in an intimate setting.
