Sunshine Coast indie dreamers, Betty Taylor have been capturing the hearts of the Australian music scene with their beautifully irresistible indie rock, and they have unveiled their latest single, ‘Hollow’.

A raw and heartfelt track that delves into the struggles of feeling stuck in a toxic cycle and questioning why life seems easier for others, the song’s moody “sad girl late night drive” energy captures the experience of loneliness and self-doubt with honesty and emotion.

In ‘Hollow’, Betty Taylor capture the honesty and heartbreak of relationship toxicity, shove it into a bottle with their unmistakable 70s rock-inspired indie, shaken, and let explode into a fizzy, danceable number, with a melancholic aftertaste. This four-piece never misses, capitalising on image-rich lyricism with an alt-country bent, and beautifully textured, with a sprinkle of simplicity. ‘Hollow’ is loaded up on sorrow and pent-up discontent, exploding in an indie rock supernova.

Betty Taylor’s rapid ascent began with their debut single Stallin’, which amassed over 380,000 streams and made waves on triple J. The band’s compelling live performances have seen them share stages with acts like girl in red, Beddy Rays, The Rubens, the Buoys, Boy and Bear and Matt Corby, while festival slots at Groovin The Moo and NYE on the Hill have further cemented their presence in the Australian scene. With their blend of vulnerability and catchy indie melodies and over 1 million streams Betty Taylor have quickly become one of Australia’s most exciting new acts.

After signing with global agency WME and collaborating with producer Aidan Hogg, Betty Taylor dropped back to back singles Can’t Get Enough and Young Dumb Immature, which gained across the board airplay on triple J and playlist support globally from Spotify and Apple Music.

As they prepare for an ambitious tour schedule which includes heading out on the road with The Grogans in Europe, UK and Ireland later this month, headline Australian tours and the US in the next 12 months, Betty Taylor is a name to watch on the global stage.

‘Hollow’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
