Lazy Guns inject some life into rock n roll with debut album, 'Waste My Breath'

Sunshine Coast’s Lazy Guns have been proudly flying the banner of rock resurgence since their appearance on the music scene, and they’re backing that up with the release of the debut album, ‘Waste My Breath’, which is out now.

To coincide with the release, Lazy Guns have announced an album launch at Solbar on May 18th, alongside The Dandy’s and Monstera.

Drawing from influences such as The Dandy Warhols, Oasis, and Jet, Lazy Guns forge together a unique brand of high energy rock.

‘Waste My Breath’ is packed full of no-frills, garage-tuned rock and roll that gives plenty of nods to the early 00s rock revivalists like Jet, The Vines, and Kings of Leon. Plenty of crunch on the guitars, rounded-off deep bass, smashed beats, and never shying away from a guitar solo. While ‘Waste My Breath’ doesn’t break any new ground - and to be fair, Jet’s platinum-selling ‘Get Born’ didn’t either - it does breath some life and give some hope into modern rock n roll. Cuts like singles, ‘Runaway’ and ‘In My Shadow’ inject some youth into the old genre, and earlier tracks such as the Pulp-borrowing ‘Yes or No’ and ‘Hear Me Now’ pump some fun and a little light into the sound.

The band officially debuted in 2022 with the release of their single ‘Runaway’. They quickly followed-up with the release of their single

‘I Like It (When I’m With You)’, which gained airplay on radio stations such as Triple M and Rebel FM. They have since shared the stage with industry heavyweights British India and Kingswood, whilst cementing their reputation for possessing a fierce live show.

Lazy Guns are now ready to share their highly anticipated debut album with the world, so be sure to catch them at their Solbar album launch on May 18, as well as in Brisbane on June 1st at The Valley Loft, supporting The Dandys.

‘Waste My Breath’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
