LOVELOVELOVE returns with stunning, cinematic indie-folk take, 'Honeymoon'

Brisbane/Meanjin-based indie-pop staple, LOVELOVELOVE returns with a beautiful, lush new single in ‘Honeymoon’ - a track that pushes the genre boundaries, blurring the complexities of emotion and feeling.

The new single forms part of an EP entitled, ‘everything feels like a movie’, which releases on April 12th.

A nostalgia-inducing track, ‘Honeymoon’ focuses on a magical time spent in the Tasmanian Hinterland. The subtle indie-folk production marked by nylon guitars, dreamy vocals and unique dead drums tells the story of living in the moment and relinquishing the idea of ever returning to your old life. Indie-folk veteran Lawson Hull lends his voice to provide tender harmonies, elevating the second half of the song to new heights.

LOVELOVELOVE brings something familiar and comforting on ‘Honeymoon’, with vocals from both Denis and Lawson Hull washing over you with warmth, gentle acoustic strumming with the brightness dimmed, subtle banjo plucking and close-knit drums. The track continuously morphs from balladeer, to folk-pop, then shifting into stunning indie-pop towards the climax. ‘Honeymoon’s beauty, like the inner-workings of an analog clock, lies in its execution of complexity to the point of making it appear simple, and honestly, fascinating. A stunning track from LOVELOVELOVE.

‘Honeymoon’ is out now on all streaming platforms, and keep an eye out for the new EP, ‘everything feels like a movie’ out on April 12.
