Kicked-In Bickie Tin give final taste of upcoming debut EP with latest massive single, 'Open Sea'.

Moree (NSW)’s dynamic trio, Kicked-In Bickie Tin cap off a huge 2023 with the release of their next single, the massive, ‘Open Sea’, which sets the stage as their final preliminary single ahead of their debut EP, ‘Beauty of Friends’, which is scheduled for early 2024.

‘Open Sea’ showcases their unique style, offering warm, nostalgic melodies and uplifting, yet moody rhythms while delving into the theme of youthful uncertainty.

Whether it’s struggling to break free from being stuck in a rut, or feeling like your full potential isn’t being met, Kicked-In Bickie Tin offers a gentle nudge to remind listeners of the importance of breaking free from familiar but unfulfilling patterns.

Produced and mixed by the talented Matt Cochran of Talk Heavy and mastered by Grammy-nominated Will Yip, “Open Sea” promises to resonate with its audience, delivering a harmonious blend of emotive lyrics, infectious melodies, and vibrant rhythms that encapsulate the essence of Kicked-In Bickie Tin.

In every guitar-driven band’s release cycle, they will bring out “that” song; we all know it on first listen. It’s the song that’s not as fast, or ‘fun’ as the previous releases - it’s the serious one, the one that slows the pace down, but it sneakily becomes the standout of the set. ‘Open Sea’ is that moment for Kicked-In Bickie Tin, with it’s empowering vibe, being punchy without being all up in your face. KIBT fully channel their inner Violent Soho with this track, with wall of guitar production, super deep drums, and just the right balance of bounce-worthy mosh and singalong without becoming breathless. Absolute massive track from the Moree three-piece.

Reflecting on a stellar year, KICKED-IN BICKIE TIN celebrates the success of two highly anticipated singles and their aptly named “Kick A Tin Around” and “Still Kickin’” tours of regional and metropolitan areas along the east coast. Their second single, “High Again,” premiered on triple j’s Home and Hosed, gaining a spotlighted artist feature and spots in Apple Music’s ‘New Music Daily’ and ‘Good Times’, and Spotify’s ‘Original Story Tellers’ playlists. Followed by “Stay,” which received critical acclaim and featured on Spotify’s ‘Big Ancestor Energy’ playlist, the release of “Open Sea” is poised to elevate their upward trajectory, leaving fans eager for more from this infectious trio.

Still arguably the best band name in Australia, Kicked-In Bickie Tin’s latest offering, ‘Open Sea’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
