Melbourne’s Everlyne bring forth their next offering of heavy goodness in new single, ‘Deranged’; a high-powered, riff and rhythm-driven epic, with just a few hints of hardcore that are enough to hook in the listener.

Hailing from Melbourne’s west, EVERLYNE is an energetic, alternative rock band that is ready to take 2021 by storm. The four-piece formed in 2019, starting with brothers Nathan & Jordan Borg before adding powerhouse vocalist Mac Shaye and drummer Sam Stone to the line up.

Synth-laden and guitar-driven, ‘Deranged’ doubles down with vocalist Mac’s vocal strengths, making for an epic chorus. The drums aren’t overpowering like other songs in a similar genre, but enough to give the track force, with the bass having plenty of depth and brightness.

‘Deranged’ is the band’s follow up single to pre-lockdown songs ‘I Own My Own’ and ‘Not My Fault’. Focusing on the subject of “a girl that is slowly losing her mind and hearing voices - an internal ‘Jekyll and Hyde’situation that she is struggling to keep hidden from the world”.

With a more produced and heavier sound, ‘Deranged’ helps Everlyne escalate Mac’s vocals to soaring heights.

‘Deranged’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
