Following from their feel-good EP ‘Golden Hour’, Brisbane’s indie pop 5-piece band Passionfruit are back with their freshly squeezed track ‘Fuzzy’.

The breezy track delivers a warm and vibrant melody in the likes of Aussie artists such as Spacey Jane, Ocean Alley and The Terrys.

Vocalists Sarah Engstrom and Mitchell Young, who make-up the backbone of Passionfruit, are busy disrupting Brisbane’s live local music scene, with ‘Fuzzy’ already being praised as their stand-out song during live performances.

With lyrics like "Don’t tell me ‘bout your boring love life, wouldn’t wanna kill my vibe”, Sarah says to her, the song feels like “going out with friends, and just not worrying about what anyone else was doing or saying” - and after the last 18 months we’ve had, isn’t this what everyone needs?

Sarah said, “the riffs just feel so weightless and freeing to me, I just started to sing what the chords were making me feel.”

Now, after their buzzing sold out show at the Zoo in February, Passionfruit are so excited to hit the stage again for their ‘Fuzzy’ single launch at the Brightside Brisbane on the 16th of September.

So if Brisbane’s recent lockdown has been killing your vibe, and you are craving a good night that will give you the warm and fuzzies, the ticket link to their show will be below.

‘Fuzzy’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
