Rick Dangerous is polishing up his gold wing-tips and fuelling up the Private Jet this July-August for a 6-date tour for their new single BRAAAP!

Rick and his whimsical bantams are back (weather and pandemics permitting). Set to release their new single BRAAAP! - A tale of a gentleman, his bike and a scorching case of STD’s on a never-ending quest to find unsavoury companionship, one rural Truckstop at a time. Rick will be doubling down on an elephant’s course of antibiotics, tri pleating his slacks and throwing the leg over the steal horse, hitting the road for the epic Aftermath Festival run and closing it out with a slot at Thrashville Festival in September.

Pioneers at the forefront of the Thrustcore revolution, Rick Dangerous & the Silkie Bantams emerged from the seedy slums of southern Sydney in the wee hours of 2013.

Armed with little more than his original teeth, a twinkle in his eye and a hole in his back, Rick has assembled his feathered friends, Oscar de la Talon (guitar), Sir Gregory Peck (bass) and Feather Locklear (drums) to inappropriately suckle at the teat of the Australian music scene.

With their debut self-titled 2014 EP garnering some serious underground buzz. The lead single The General was an instant fan favourite with its ‘Grip, Squeeze, Twist, Release’ mantra sending mosh-pits into a frenzy. This was followed up in 2016 with the sophomore EP Thrust Machine which spawned the singles ‘Bruja’ and ‘Powdered Sugar’, seeing the band embark on their most audacious headline tours to date. The band was no stranger to the festival circuit either, playing several feverishly received slots including Dead of Winter Festival, Lagerfest and Mojo Burning.

Set for release July 16, Rick’s latest single ‘Braaap!’ takes the band’s sordid lyrics and heavy grooves to a new level, and is set to be a huge addition to the bands live-set come July-August.
