Sydney's Inklines drop another taste of forthcoming EP with new single, 'All Gone'
Sydney’s Inklines deliver strong indie rock vibes with brand new single, ‘All Gone’, which digs deep and brings up all the emotions.
As an indicator of the band’s new EP, coming out later this year, ‘All Gone’ is Inklines at their finest. The first song written as part of new sessions laid down with producer Lachlan West, ‘All Gone’ is rich in its guitar and melodic arrangements. The band has always thrived within the alt-rock space and here, we can hear those influences fusing easily with more contemporary notes.
Of the song, the band have said that the parts to ‘All Gone’ fell together relatively quickly in the studio, due to a few months of solid gigging, making them ready to get back in to the whole writing process.
“It definitely helped that this track is on the mellow side of things, as it really allowed us to let the song flow and take its own course.”
‘All Gone’ strays from the conventional sounds of indie rock, blending in elements of 90s Emo (think Sunny Day Real Estate, and Manic Street Preachers) and alternative rock, to create a heavily melodic, emotionally-driven lusher sound, with plenty of atmospheric touches swimming around the guitars.
Since their formation back in 2017, Inklines have become seasoned performers on stages around the country performing alongside the likes of British India, elevating as headliners in the years that would follow.
With two EPs to their name already, Inklines’ vision squarely remains on pushing their sound forward and exploring more musical influences as they step into new personal and creative chapters. Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the band is part of a wave of Australian musicians who can’t be beaten right now.
‘All Gone’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
