Rising amongst the Brisbane pop realm, Sunshine Coast-born artist, The Battlecat introduces his euphoric new release Home. Diving into emotive themes of feeling lost, restlessness and alone while experiencing the busy notions of life, Home is a sentimental and relatable release that is a nod to the strength of The Battlecat's songwriting. Setting the tone for 2021, The Battlecat is gearing up for a big year.

Greeted by waves of synth and poignant soundscapes, Home shows a vulnerable side to the Brisbane artist. Written within the walls of his home with roommate/producer Samuel Fudge, Home was transformed in CI Studios. A glamour-pop inspired track, Home blends a nostalgic 80s sound with cutting edge modern electronica, crafting a unique style supported by hypnotic grooves. Home foreshadows what is yet to come for the songwriter.

"Home is about feeling busy, lost, alone and stuck all at once".

Bouncing onto the music scene in 2020, The Battlecat won hearts with his single Heat Of The Month. Inspired by the likes of profound acts Empire Of The Sun, New Order and Tears For Fears, The Battlecat is carving his own unique sound onto the Australian contemporary pop scene. Paving the way for his success, Home marks the beginning of an era for The Battlecat.

Home is available on all download and streaming platforms from Friday 19 February 2021, but you can hear it first right here on Th Point as we premiere ‘Home’
