It has been a big year for the electro/indie/pop trio, Forrest Run.

Three singles already released, with high-praise from Triple J (“It’s pretty stuff all round here. The smart production twists, Ayla’s flawless vocal and the sense of everyday drama is great.” - Declan Byrne), Forrest Run’s quirky blend of alt-folk, hip hop production, and Ayla’s distinctive indie-pop vocal delivery have seen them already tour, and support the likes of Boo Seeka, as well as already being added to this year’s Caloundra Music Festival.

We loved their first release, ‘All We Needed’, and they gained further notice with the darker ‘Let Me Fall’, and capped that off with third single, ‘Summer’ landing on Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ playlist. High praise for an act that still hasn’t hit one year (in gigging years).

Now, with the release of the debut self-titled EP, you can the tracks ‘Blue Air’ and ‘We Are Young’ to tie up the first stack of Forrest Run songs.

Check out the EP below, and, if you’re heading to Caloundra Music Festival this weekend, they’re playing the Sun Stage on Friday night at 8pm
