WHITE JAIL is the eagerly anticipated debut EP offering from Sunshine Coast band Toxic Fox, who have had a great start to their musical journey in 2019. The bands first two single releases from the EP, 'Bond Street' & 'Oil Painted Hill', have been well received by fans, gaining over 60K streams on Spotify alone.

The EP was recorded and produced between Rocking Horse Studios near Byron Bay and Heliport Studios on the Sunshine Coast with producer Elliot Heinrich and engineer Nick Wilson.

White Jail is a five track EP that meanders on a cruisy, laid back journey through a diverse range of sonic flavours. An intertwining of genres, it draws on a variety of rock, pop and indie references that a Triple J audience can get their teeth into. Ambient guitar licks combined with a warm, melodic bass tone and lead singer Zepher Jenkins smooth vocals come together to create a perfect sound for summertime, and with the bands Sunshine Coast surf roots it’s obvious where the five friends get their vibe from.

Guitarist Matthew Buchanan explained of the EP White Jail was the first demo we ever tracked as a band in the early days. We decided to go back into the studio to polish it and we’re totally thrilled with the sound that Elliot and Nick helped us create. The artwork is actually from our original version which we figured would be cool to resurrect!”

The bands recent shows, including Byron Bay's The Northern have seen consistently full crowds and a recent appearance at the Caloundra Music Festival has only strengthened their position as one of the hottest young bands to watch for 2020.
