Tewantin teen wants to 'Hold You Closer', takes home Highly Commended from QMAs
He may be a young man of few words; however, his songs make up for that.
Tewantin teen Izack Hunt’s song, 'Hold You Closer' has received Highly Commended in the Queensland Music Awards Indigenous Section. The song was also a semi-finalist in the Youth Section of the International Songwriting Competition. Izack wrote the song last year at the age of 15, working on the recording with Hall of Fame Alumni Louie Shelton on the Gold Coast.
Izack is currently recording some new music thanks to a Regional Arts Development Grant from the Noosa Council. He has been working in the studio with producer James Russell from Heliport Studios in Buderim.
James says ‘Izack is an incredibly talented up and coming artist, who not only has a firm comprehension of the nuances and tonality of the current pop sound but has the work ethic to match. That paired with a genuine and humble nature, reflected in his lyrics, shows a depth and wisdom beyond his years that I see will take him far.’
Expect further releases from Izack Hunt later in the year.
