With their May/June Australian tour dates selling out fast, Hollow Coves have come through with brand new music for fans to get around.

Today, they announce their new single, fittingly titled ‘Hello’. Following on from their track ‘Lonely Nights’ released earlier this year, ‘Hello’ is Hollow Coves at their peak. Captivating and heavy on the evocation, both Matt and Ryan flex their best songwriting muscles when they’re utterly in tune with one another. Here, we get to hear the shining results of that process.

Written at their home on the Gold Coast as everyone found themselves plunged into lockdown, ‘Hello’ speaks to their experiences of being isolated from their normal day to day.

“We ended up recording it and self-producing it at our little home studio...It’s about the mundane day-to-day life of being stuck inside alone and going a bit stir crazy. We think a lot of people will be able to relate to this one after the past year.” -Hollow Coves

Taken from their forthcoming new EP Blessings, ‘Hello’ captures Hollow Coves at their most endearing and captivating. The five-track record was produced by the band themselves at home on the Gold Coast; the final result being a stunning collection of music capturing the creative elevation of the songwriters.

With 2.1 million monthly listeners and over 250+ million streams on Spotify, as well as over 100 million views and 300k subscribers on YouTube, Hollow Coves’ success internationally speaks for itself. Early success in the U.S. market, thanks largely to their song ‘The Woods’ being featured on CBS drama Scorpion and rocketing to the top of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Songs chart, generated momentum for Hollow Coves - momentum that showed the duo that a widespread connection with a global audience was more than achievable.

Favourites on the live front, Hollow Coves have enjoyed sold out tours through North America and Europe as headliners, have supported the likes of Jeremy Loops, Tom Walker, Radical Face and Walking on Cars; courting the attention of BBC Radio, Radio X and more. They have also maintained a solid presence at international festivals like Reeperbahn, The Great Escape, Boardmasters, NYE On The Hill, and Pukkelpop.

Songwriting that shines with its rich depth and warmth, that’s how Matt Carins and Ryan Henderson have won over fans right around the world. Dual Queensland Music Award winners, the band emerged early as ones to watch. Consistently building an enviable reputation as artists across a number of striking releases including to EPs and their debut album Moments in 2019, Hollow Coves are one of Australian music’s true gems.

Hollow Coves’ tour is selling out fast, with one show left available at The Triffid (Bris) on June 11.
