Sunshine Coast's queen of sass and cool, JaZZella releases new single, 'Quit Bitchin'

Sunshine Coast-based indie pop Queen, JaZZella is back with a brand new single, her third release within 12 months, ‘Quit Bitchin’, which has equal parts sass and soul.

The single is the third offering from her upcoming debut album ‘StarZ & GuitarZ’, which is set for release later in 2022. The album was written across multiple countries including Amsterdam, Italy and France.

JaZZella is quickly claiming her crown as Queen of cool and sass with previous releases ‘You Ma Dude’ and ‘Shoot’, and ‘Quit Bitchin’ just ups that ante a little more. The track employs a little more dirt with the funk this time, and it’s such a simple, effective groove that the bass and drums lock in, allowing plenty of air for the guitars and piano to dance around. This all lets JaZZella’s melodic rap and crooning take full control, coming across like a femme fatale jazz lounge singer. ‘Quit Bitchin’ is a brilliant balance of sweetness and bite.

Of the song, JaZZella explains the track is about taking a look at how we deal with ups and downs of difficult relationships.

“Quit Bitchin’ is an anthem for anyone who has experienced toxic friendship dynamics and reminds us to address our relationship issues in a direct way,” she said.

Inspired by artists such as Amy Winehouse, BENEE and Mac Miller, JaZZella’s unique brand of Indie Pop comes alive with vivid story-telling, original flair and catchy melodies.

JaZZella has gained plenty of attention since her debut ‘Shoot’ last year, attracting positive reviews from Australian music media, and gaining rotation on MTV Australia for the music video to ‘Shoot’. The following single, ‘You Ma Dude’ also scored airplay from our national broadcaster.

JaZZella has announced a string of dates to celebrate the release of ‘Quit Bitchin’, including plenty of solid dates in the SE Qld corner.

New single Quit Bitchin’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
