Void Of Vision unleash unrelenting new EP, 'CHRONICLES III: UNDERWORLD', and announce national tours

Melbourne’s metalcore collective, Void Of Vision have released their third and final chapter in the CHRONICLES saga, with CHRONICLES III: UNDERWORLD journeying deep into a sonic inferno via blistering new tracks on the band’s surprise new EP.

This third instalment in Void Of Vision’s CHRONICLES series sees their final evolution come to fruition; it’s like witnessing the gradual shift from man to machine, with CHRONICLES I: LUST only just showing their merging of metal and EDM, shifting to CHRONICLES II: HEAVEN, which still retained some animalistic tendencies, however more industrial tones were starting to take over. In CHRONICLES III: UNDERWORLD, we witness the final stripping of anything organic, with a more cold, dark industrial/drum n bass/ravecore sound taking over. This still hits hard, with lead single, ‘HELL HELL HELL’ being in tune with Northlane’s latest material, whereas ASMR and NEUE SICHT give heavy early Nine Inch Nails, and Antichrist Superstar-era Marylin Manson nods respectively. It’ll be interesting to see how these transfer in to a live situation, with a heavy lean on drum samples and keys more than guitars, but we’re all for it. The relationship between heavy music and EDM has always been symbiotic, with both genres often borrowing from each other, and seeing the next generation of heavy bands really adopt deep bass culture is invigorating.

The whole CHRONICLES saga showcases blazing riffs, guttural vocals and relentless soundscapes alongside measured progression that Jack Bergin, James McKendrick, Mitch Fairlie and George Pfaendner have collectively pursued since forming back in 2013.

Previously swapping angst and self-loathing for personal growth and introspection between their previous EPs CHRONICLES I: LUST and CHRONICLES II: HEAVEN respectively, fans will get to witness the divine fire and brimstone of Void Of Vision's latest single HELL HELL HELL with with the group imminently set embark on a regional Australian tour kicking off in November with supports from The Beautiful Monument and Diamond Construct, and in 2023 with the band confirmed to appear on the sweltering lineup for Knotfest Australia 2023 alongside the likes of Slipknot, Parkway Drive, Megadeth and many more.

CHRONICLES III: UNDERWORLD is streaming now on all platforms.
