Muules deliver cartoony film clip for latest alt-punk, horn-laden single, ‘Drain’

Following on the release of their latest single, the alt-punk, horn-laden track ‘Drain’, Muules have delivered their accompanying film clip.

With ‘Drain’s running theme of self-doubt and trying to express your thoughts and feelings in a relationship that has dulled, the music video expresses being physically ‘drained’ by having the band all as silhouettes, and giving an overall cartoon-ish vibe to express the ridiculousness of the situations we find ourselves in.

Musically, the track is full of raw emotion and questions life’s decisions. ‘Drain’ packs a punch with fuzzed-out bass, ballistic beats, and a bonus one-man horn section to blast out a classic hooky line, courtesy of Sullivan Heywood (from dub/roots legends, Bearfoot).

Produced by bassist thefoxiam, mixed by Ty Bain (who previously mixed fellow Sunshine Coasters, indie punks Swimsuit Issue), and mastered by Paul Blakey (12th and Vine Post).

‘Drain’ is the next taste of a much-awaited debut full length album from Muules and is available for streaming now.
