Monet's Pond has just graced the world with her hazy neo-psychedelia/ dream-pop/ indie-rock debut single 'Floating In Air'. Chasing the white rabbit, she is now pairing the track with a kaleidoscopic music video.

Monet's Pond had been leaving impressions since emerging at the beginning of the year where she received praise at the Queensland Music Awards where ‘Floating In Air’ produced with Aaron Shanahan (Miami Horror, Sunday) was highly commended.

Accompanying the swirling psych-pop feeling of the 'Floating In Air', the nostalgic music video is playful and doused in colour while providing an up-close and personal introduction to songstress Brigette Lawrence. Wrapped up in a wonderful dream-pop world, the visuals parallel the sentiments in the lyrics that have Lawrence drawing on her own experiences where she explores the importance of protecting oneself from toxic relationships.

There is no doubt that Monet's Pond has made an impressive debut with her dulcet psychedelic and dream-pop tones and aesthetic, making her one to keep an eye on for the rest of the year and 2022.

‘Floating In Air’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
