Singer-songwriter (and former resident of the 4561), Nicole McKinney is best known for her well-crafted melodies inspired by themes of self-discovery and human connection. Her music is rivalled by her strong distinct voice. With her mesmeric aura, humour and quirky personal style, Nicole gives a wholesome and engaging performance each and every time.

Joined by her full band, the songstress is quickly developing a distinctive sound in the Folk/Pop/ Rock music scene and can be compared to the likes of Girl Pool and Alex G.

Giving her first hint of a string of singles that will lead up to her debut EP in 2021, her new single, 'Hollywood Girls' is a melancholy slab of indie folk rock (with country flourishes), which describes the struggle to save a jeopardised relationship. It's a reflection in the aftermath, with the lyrics holding key themes of overcoming self-blame, trusting your instincts, and knowing when to leave an unhealthy relationship.

Produced and mixed by Luke Woollett (also on Bass duties) at Hunting Ground Studios, with drums by Jordan Cant, and Kyle Lacko on Lead Guitar.

'Hollywood Girls' is out today on all streaming platforms.
